Andy Murray to defend his title at Brisbane International 2013 – Tennis News
Defending Champion, Andy Murray, commits to the field of the Brisbane International for the next edition of the tournament that will begin in December this year. He will be the top seed player in the event and look to defend all
the points in a well diversified group of players who possess qualities of recording an upset at any stage of the tournament.
Murray stated in a press conference, “The Brisbane tournament has been an appealing choice to make this time round because I really enjoy being in Australia, it makes the travel a lot easier. I look forward to new experiences,
good food and building some good memories there.”
It will be a good warn-up session for the third ranked Briton before he commences his hunt for the second successive Grand Slam trophy at the Australian Open in Melbourne. It will be a difficult task considering the three strong
contenders; Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will be aiming at capturing another big four trophy but there is no doubt that the reining Olympics Gold Medallist has the ability to topple the top seeds on his day.
The field for Brisbane International is yet to be completed but the players that have confirmed their participation are as follows:

There is still room for eight other players to join this fantastic field that will begin the conquest on 30th December and last until the 6th of January, 2013. It will be contested at the Queensland Tennis
Centre and probably provide some early warm-up session for players who will take part in the Australian Open, starting in the midst of January.
