Andy Murray to go coachless in 2011
Britain's Andy Murray exclaimed at the 2010 PNB Paribas Masters that he might possibly be playing the 2011 season without a coach. Murray parted with Coach Miles Maclagan right before the 2010 summer hard court season. Furthermore,
the professional qualified for the World Tour Finale in London upon bagging six Masters 1000 titles, his sixth being the Shanghai Men's singles title.
In the words of the professional himself, “I would like to have a full-time coach. I work with Alex Corretja and there are people around me helping. I just have to decide to see what to do next year. If I like the way things are
going and I feel like I’m improving, then I’m not scared of playing some tournaments on my own, trying out being on my own for a little bit."

Receiving a bye into the second round of the 2010 PNB Paribas Masters, Andy was opposed by Argentina's David Nalbandian. The Argentinean initiated the match with a 6-2 win in the first set. That, however, seemed to be all he had to offer as Murray came back
to take the second set 6-4. Furthermore, the Briton went on to take the deciding third set 6-3 to make it through to the next round.
Additionally, Murray will face Croatia's Marin Cilic in the third round of the championship. Seeded no. 13, Cilic got through with Uzbekistan's Sergiy Stakhovsky in the second round match played between the two to advance at the
tournament. Marin got off to a good start taking the first set 6-4 right after Sergiy bounced back to take the second, 6-4. The decider, nevertheless, went in favour of the Croatian as he took it 6-3.
As far as Corretja is concerned, Andy stated that he believes finding the right coach is not at all easy. The professional went on to say, “It just has to be the right person. It’s not like they have to be funny or they have to
be old or young. It’s about finding someone that I get on well with and that can help me. I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there who will be able to help, but it’s about trying to find the best person.”
