Andy Murray to relish fast surface at the Paris Masters
Britain's Andy Murray, who is still without a coach, is looking forward to entering the second round of the Paris Masters on Wednesday, 10 November.
Murray will enter the tournament against Argentina's David Nalbandian, who won the tournament in 2007, after skipping the first round as the tournament's third seed.
Nalbandian defeated Marcel Granollers of Spain in straight sets on Tuesday, 9 November, to set up the meeting with Murray.
The Scot, who recently won the Shanghai Masters after overcoming world number two Roger Federer in the final, said he will relish playing on the fast courts in Paris.
"It looks like it's playing very fast here. I'd rather it was quicker than too slow," Murray said ahead of Wednesday's game. "Physically I feel quite good, and mentally pretty fresh."
The world number three failed to claim his first Grand Slam title this year despite reaching the final of the Australian Open and semi-finals at Wimbledon.
No rush in finding the right coach
Since parting ways with Miles Maclagan in July, Murray has been without a coach on the ATP Tour.
The 23-year-old reiterated that he will not be rushed in his search for a replacement, adding that he will make a decision at the end of the current season.
"I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who will be able to help, but it's about trying to find the best person. I don't know exactly what type of person it is — it just has to be the right person. As I said a long time ago, I'll look at the end of the
year and see what I want to do with that moving forward."
As world number three, Murray is set to partake in the ATP World Tour Finals in London later this month.
The tournament, held at the end of every season, pits the top eight players on the ATP Singles Ranking against each other.
