Andy Murray working on a plan to power down Roger Federer in the Olympics Final – Tennis News
World number four, Andy Murray, has a second shot at the reigning world number one, Roger Federer, at her home soil; grass courts of Wimbledon. He will lock horns with the Swiss Maestro for the shot at the gold medal in the London
Olympics final that will take place on Sunday.
Ironically, the 25-year-old Briton leads the head-to-head scores by 9-7 at the moment but he will definitely commence the match as the second favourite with the Swiss Maestro on a mission of winning a singles gold medal to complete
his Career Gold Slam at the age of 30. It will be a sweet moment for the Swiss superstar who has given everything to the sporting world of tennis; in fact described the whole concept of domination.
However, there is no doubt that the Scot will devise a plan to stop Federer from fulfilling his career long dream. A glimpse of that was unleashed by the fourth seed Scot when he commented, “That's probably the most emotional I've
ever felt on a tennis court. I have always said the atmosphere at the US Open is the best but that was fantastic tonight. It was totally different from anything I have ever experienced. The Olympics just has a different feel to it. It's probably the most fun
I've ever had."
He further added, “It is great to know I will get at least a silver medal but anyone who knows me knows how much I'll be going for gold. I won't do anything different to when I played Roger at Wimbledon.”
It seems like deep down Murray is planning to have a revenge mission but keeping his mouth zipped until he manages to beat Federer at the final. He doesn’t want to count the chickens before they are hatched. It’s probably the right
approach but considering the experience and talent that Federer possesses, hardly anything can dismantle his mindset especially when he is in such a crushing form as he is now.
Hopefully, spectators will witness another gruelling encounter and some awesome tennis because that is what they want instead of boring one-sided batterings.
