Anemia & Birth control??

Question

does anemia play a negative effect when taking birth control? i just left my doctor and forgot to ask them this, does anyone know...my mom had anemia back in the day and tried to get on birth control and the doctor didnt recomend she get on it...does anyone know about this?

I have borderline Anemia, and my symptoms pretty much completely stopped once I got on birth control. I am currently using the Nuva Ring, and it has actually been proven to HELP with sufferers of Anemia (says so on the website). I definitely recommend this form of birth control. Check it out...

lots of women with anemia use the pill to decrease the blood loss during period.  I am pretty sure that there is more to your Moms story than just simple anemia
