Anethesia failing?

Well I had lazy eye surgery on my eye when I was younger and the anethesia worked fine.

Now I need to get it again for my eye and I heard about anethesia failing and now it worries me.

What are the odds of it failing if it worked for me fine before?

  1. Anesthesia rarely "fails", despite what Hollywood would have you believe.  The drugs work.

There are rare instances of awareness under anesthesia, but that's more likely if you're having an emergency C-section or undergoing trauma surgery.

Honestly, it's much more likely that the surgery will fail than the anesthesia.
