Question:

Angel Matos a Criminal....and deserves to be treated like one!?

Wow, I just saw the pics of loser taekwondo Angel Matos kicking the ref square in the face! Not only should Angel's whole olympic record be stripped, but he should face assault charges!

And I though the wrestling guy who threw down his bronze was bad, but Angel Matos is a criminal act! His coach sounds like a low-life as well, defending Matos.

I hope Matos gets assault charges....anyone agree? Talk about one of the biggest low-lifes of olympic history.

  1. he will be known for nothing and will amount to nothing!

  2. I doubt that Matos will face assault charges (although he deserves them), because it involved people from two different countries, competing in an international "goodwill" event in a third country.

Also, the ref did exactly as he should have; under taekwondo rules, you have 1 min for injuries.  Matos did not resume the match after 1 min, so he was disqualified.

Even if he felt it was a bad decision, there are ways to dispute it, his actions were a disgrace.

  3. You know, I thought the same thing. But, I don't see how they disqualified him if he was just waiting for some medical attention. Isn't that technically their fault, not his?

Still, drop-kicking someone in the face isn't the right answer.

  4. I don't know about all that criminal act stuff, but i think there's some a** kissing in the Olympics...WHATDYA THINK?

  5. The guy ruined his reputation for the rest of his life. Whats better finishing 4th or getting a bronze medal while the whole world lavishes you.

  6. I'm sure there are more dangerous criminals out there!

And I gotta admit, I giggle a bit. But yeah, that was pretty classless, (criminals may be going a bit too far)!

He got a lifelong ban, but that is probably it

  7. The ref's conduct was wrong too. Do note that he was injured and required medical attention, but instead he was given disqualification by ref for not being able to play. I think that was very harsh and wrong.

While Matos was wrong to kick, the ref was pretty SICK too.  And almost all sports have this policy, "ref always right". This needs to be CHANGED

  8. In addition to banning him for life in the Olympics, does the IOC have the right to take his 2000 Gold Medal away for such actions?

  9. Well, he is officially banned from competing in future olympics for life. I understand his frustration but kicking the ref is a classless act.
