  1. No cichlids are to aggresive and same with the angel fish!

And yes they would eat there egss!

  2. yes the angels would eat the eggs along with any other fish that you have in there. also the cichlids will defend there nest and kill anything that gets close to it. angels can be aggressive but they do not compare to how aggressive cichlids can be. clown loaches will also sneak in and eat the eggs. I would separate all fish if you want the fry to survive other than the parents. I separate the parents when the fry are free swimming which takes about 5 to 7 days. good luck with the fish and eggs.

  3. Angelfish are a cichlid...

As for keeping them with other cichlids, smaller peacefull ones, yes.

Larger or more agressive types, no, the angels will get beaten up.

Breeding setup, all bets are off. Most cichlids become more agressive in a breeding situation, but who will win??

    Ian

  4. Amen Ian and thank you.

Angels are South American cichlids.  They are rather mean tempered among their own, but as Ian also said, they are slower moving and showing aggression among others, I think Angels are at a disadvantage.  Any egg layer always has risk of any other fish going after the eggs.  Parental care is what matters.  I haven't been able to breed Angels when I kept them, but Tolak might have some good advice on what to do there.

As for Loaches, almost any bottom feeder types should be quite fine with Angels.

  5. if u have a male and female angel fish then it will be ok to add in the tank but if u had 2 male angle fish they will be as aggressive as cichlids hope this helps u out and good luck if u have male and female angelfish the eggs should be fine

  6. Angels are a kind of Cichlid. But they are mild tempered and should not be kept with the more aggressive kinds of Cichlids.

  7. Well they might but not before the Cichlids ate the Angels.
