Angel wing tattoo; pain level & length of session?

Question

In about 6+ months, I plan to take a trip down to Texas to my friends tattoo shop and get the tattoo I've wanted for a few years now: angel wings on my back. I already have a tattoo, but it's small and on my hip (which I hear is one of the least painful areas to get tattooed) and it didn't really hurt at all. How much pain should I expect for the shoulderblade/back area? [note: the wings are going to go to midback, probably. small wings looks stupid, in my opinion.]

Also, given the size, does anyone know how many sessions/how long each session will be? I need to plan my trip accordingly. Thanks!

it depends on the size. i got a full back piece (neck to butt crack)  and it took 7 1/2 hours in one sitting. and the last hour was very sore
