Subsequently, the fifth stop of the series was organised on August 13 at Lac Megantic, Canada. The event was successful in attracting eight participants among those were seven Canadian swimmers and one was the American swimmer.
Guillemette-Simard, the silver medallist of Lac St-Jean, geared up her swim in Lac Megantic and seized gold medal of the event in 2 hours, 30 minutes and 51 seconds. Her team-member, Jade Dusablon claimed silver medal of the event as she posted 2 hours,
30 minutes and 52 seconds. Heidi George of USA remained six seconds slower than her former finisher and clocked a time of 2 hours, 30 minutes and 58 seconds.

The two of them engaged each other in a neck-to-neck race whereas Brunemann gained a body length lead from Maurer in the final kilometres of the race. The American sustained her pace and crossed the finishing line with an astounding time of 2 hours, 04 minutes
and 52.41 seconds.
