Angela Stanford ready to rattle rivals at Vancouver Golf Club
American Angela Stanford, who finished runner-up at the last week’s Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, is ready to give a tough time to her rivals at the upcoming CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012, set to start next
week at The Vancouver Golf Club, Canada.
Stanford, who has been seeking to regain her lost form for the last several months, has been able to fix some fatal flaws in her game and a stunning performance at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 reflects
that the American star is keen to move ahead.
Stanford has what it takes to rattle rivals on the course, and if she manages to score well in the first two rounds, she can remain in contention till the last day of the CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012.
The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) star kicked off the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 in stunning style as she played perfect strokes on most of the holes. Although she made mistakes on some holes,
she appeared to be in commanding position throughout the four days.
Analysts said that if the American golfer maintains the momentum in the upcoming battle at The Vancouver Golf Club, she has a good chance to record a victory.
Analysts also pointed out that recording a victory in Canada has become important also because of the growing influence of Asian contenders. Asians, particularly South Koreans, are going places these days and
they have sidelined most of the American contenders in world rankings.
So, in order for the tournament to remain interesting, Americans must show their skills on the course this time.
Stanford has now emerged as a growing threat for her Asian rivals, but the success did not come without efforts as she has been training hard on the practice range for the last few months.
Speaking to the media about her performance in the 2012 season, the LPGA titan said that she is happy with what she has been doing since the start of the current year.
“I think I had nine or ten Top 10s, and I remember being at the end of the year and complaining about not winning. Then I have these years that I'll win, and never finish in the Top 10 the other weeks.  So
it's like which one do I want?” Stanford said.
