Angelfish growth question,

I have a tank about seventy gallon and one large male angelfish in it with some small live bearers . We have raised him from the time he was smaller than a dime and now three years later he has stopped growing. His appetite is good and he is fed plenty of live along with flake food but but still not growing. Some of the people I know have angelfish much larger. What's wrong with this one if anything?

  1. I have 5 angelfish of various sizes right now in a 75 gallon.  In my experience, I have noticed that the larger they have become - the slower their growth rate.  Also - what kind of angelfish?  I have 2 that are 'wild caught' leopaldi variety and these, although full grown, are much smaller than the traditional angelfish.  I don't think you have anything to worry about, as long as he is eating and appears healthy.
