The Torino defender has stated that Italy played well against England, and hopes to have a bright future with his international side.
Angelo Ogbonna has stated that while he did not enjoy losing the friendly to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, he still believes that his team played a good game against the giants of European football.
The Azzurri fielded six debutants in the recent friendly against the Three Lions, and consequently lost the game with the score at 2-1.
Ogbonna was adamant that the Azzurri can take a lot of positives from the defeat, and insisted that considering the fact that many of them were playing together for the first time, their performance was not so bad.
The Torino defender admitted to being outplayed in the second-half, much to the credit of Jermain Defoe and Andy Carroll, who were a lot of trouble for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 in the defence.
While talking to the press, the Italian international said:
“It was a good performance, especially as many of us were playing together for the first time. In the second half we struggled a little more, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 was better at moving into space than Andy Carroll and stretched us out in defence.”
When asked about his future with Italy’s international team, the defender stated that he hopes to have a bright future with a lot of playing time, but maintained that he will have to earn it all with lots of hard work.
The Tornio-man was all praise for Davide Astori and stated that he enjoys a good combination and understanding with the Italian international.
The Azzurri defender went on to stress upon the importance of communication between the defenders that share a defensive line and insisted that it is always better to speak up with your fellow players during the game.
“I don’t know if I have a future with the Azzurri. I certainly hope so, but any benefits come from hard work day by day. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Davide-Astori-c10639 and I help each other out, while it is always better to communicate between defenders. A word extra is better than one

Ogbonna also stated that while it was disappointing to not get playing time in Euro 2012, the most important thing was participation.
