Angelo Que names Fred Couples and Tiger Woods as his idols
Angelo Que of Philippines has revealed that the legendary Fred Couples and the 14-time major champion Tiger Woods are the inspirational figures for him.
Talking to the Asian Tour’s official website, Que said that he started playing golf when he was young and the abovementioned players always motivated him to play good golf on the course.
According to the Filipino, Couples’ playing style always impressed him and he wishes to adopt the same playing technique in his game.
In the meantime, he also said that he adores Woods because of his achievements in the world of golf.
Woods currently holds the second position in recording the most number of major golf championship title victories – he has won 14 majors so far.
In addition to that, he is also the second highest winner on the PGA Tour, as he has won a total of 74 wins in his career. He now trails Sam Snead by just eight wins.

“Fred Couples and Tiger Woods,” said Que, when asked about his idols in the game. “I like Couples because of the way he plays and Woods because of his achievements”.
He added, “I’ve always enjoyed playing golf when I was young. I’m very calm when I’m on the golf course and playing golf is my life. It is nice to be doing something you like and making money”.
He also praised the way the Asian Tour offered him opportunities to excel in his game and play along some of the best players in the world of golf.
According to him, his best experience came on the tour when he played with Thaworn Wiratchant and Thongchai Jaidee, the two Asian legends of the sport. He said that playing with both the players helped him bringing improvements in his game.
“When I turned professional, I thought I knew a lot until I played with some of the great players like Thaworn (Wiratchant) and Thongchai (Jaidee). I learned a lot from them,” he said.
