As if they werent stacked to begin with, despite off seasons from Vlad and Mattews JR, but this trade just showed how serious I think Angels are about contending and winning WS. No other team seems to be trying to make improvements such at they have. Which team(s) should have tried to get who, and who will be a bust for not making a trade?

  1. Texas will be even more of a bust if they don't get a pitching ace.

  2. Oh boy! Some people really make it tough to answer their question(s).

To begin with, the Angels are not stacked with power hitters or even with high OBP% hitters.

What they are stacked with is a superb pitching staff and a bunch of very good fielders.

I really can't see how sacrificing their future for a very expensive rental is all that great.

Give up a developing talent, such as Casey Kotchman and a prospective good or or better than good young pitcher for a possible World Series appearance this year?

I call that penny wise and dollar foolish.

Just to resign Guerrero, Lackey, Rodriguez, and "Anderson"? will cost the Angels at least $ 75,000,000+ and then to try to sign Teixteira for less than $ 22,000,000.

    It "aint" going to happen.

And the Angels won't even have Casey Kotchman, a very good player, to play "the Black hole" once Teixteira is gone.

I think the Angels  must be trying out do the other L.A. team's

GM, who is a marvel at making bad deals and/or trades.

I think all Dodger fans recognize the name, (Frank Colletti)

  3. the angels got Teixeira!! this is breaking news to me!!!!

sorry but this is really the 1,000,000th post about the Angels trade and tem contending i had to have some fun with it

  4. they did good.i think the rays and mets may still buy. but the red sox and cardinals could be hurt

  5. they need to get Ryan Braun and CC.

  6. i think the dodgers and diamondbacks really should have made bigger moves to try to acquire a bat like teixeira, because both of those teams struggle offensively and both are competing against each other to win the nl west right now, not to mention that either team's only chance to advance in the playoffs would be to add a power bat to the middle of the lineup

  7. I think the diamondbacls should have definately got Mark Texaira. They had multiple options to get they could trade Conner Jackson, or Micah ownings and a releif pitcher or chad tracy and a minor league prospect pitcher. If the diamondbacks win the division they will make it to the divisional finals most likely against the NL central but i think no matter who comes out of the NL central they will win the WS

  8. i know they are going all the way
