  1. Angiosperms are nearly all flowering plants. they encompass the monocots and dicots. Their seeds are enclosed.

Gymnosperms are more like the pines, spruces, junipers, etc. Their seeds are not enclosed.

  2. Angiosperms are called "flowering plants" but you may not think that some trees produce flowers eg oak, beech, ash....as well plants you would consider to be "flowers".

Gymnosperms are the CONE plants...eg pines, they often have needle like leaves as well.

  3. Gymnosperms are more like spruce.

  4. Angiosperms are flowering plants but not strictly limited to just decorative flowers. Trees such as maple and oaks are flowering plants, or angiosperms. During certain times of the year you will see many small flowers for a period of time.

Gymnosperms are trees such as pine, spruce, fir, cedar and so on. Their seeds are not encased in a fruit. The word means naked seeds. Such as a pine cone for example. An acorn is considered a fruit botanically. As are the winged seeds of maples referred to as helicopters but are called keys.
