  1. In this classification scheme, they are classified as nordic.


  2. I believe for the most part they were of what we used to call 'alpine' stock, with broad round heads. However, due to where they lived, there were doutbless some longer headed nordic types amongst them too from intermarriage

Germanic, not really nordic... as it is, the group known as Anglo-Saxons has been dead as a distinct group since rougly 1066... the Saxons still in Germany were killed and/or Assimilated by Charlemagne's Frankish-Gallo-Roman ("Carolingian") empire, and the Anglo-Saxons in the 250 year old England were kicked out of power and many of them massacred...
