  1. They could. Try getting one from a local animal shelter, they'll be just as good.

  2. Your best bet is to buy one from a breeder. The Petco in my area only adopts out rabbits from other shelters, pure breeds go fast from shelters usually.

Try www.hoobly.com and www.domesticsale.com for the Lionheads, since they are not yet a recognized rabbit breed by the ARBA. (American Rabbit Breeders Association)

The NARBC (National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club) doesn't appear to have any advertisements for breeders on there site. I'd recommend hoobly and domesticsale sites also.

Have you tried looking into Jersey Woolies yet? They're sometimes called the Dwarf Angora (They're a long-haired dwarf breed obviously). Their website has a list of breeders: http://www.njwrc.net/directory.htm

  3. Search online in your area.. I'd contact any local animal shelters.. and then look for a breeder if you can't find any..
