Rovio tease the next iteration of the handheld phenomenon. Trailer teases more information to be revealed on the 22nd of March.
Angry Birds has been downloaded over 500-million times since it was released in 2009. The game is simple enough to get into as it requires players to use birds as projectiles to take out a certain number of green pigs.
There are different types of birds which each have different abilities and actions that they can perform. The game was built on a simple physics engine yet in terms of the fun factor the game delivers, well there are few that can match it.
However, since the original game’s release, the game’s developer Rovio has released a number of different variations of the title. Games such as Angry Birds Rio, which was a tie-in to the CGI movie, and other titles, expanded the fan base of the series.
In the process the game made a huge amount of money as sales of the game soared to greater heights with each passing day.
Now it seems that Rovio is back to take what is left in everyone else’s wallets as they teased Angry Birds Space. A website was launched with a teaser trailer that shows a screen shot of one of the Angry Birds and a date.
The date is March 22 so one can expect more details of the game to be revealed then.
The game is available on almost every platform imaginable, which is interesting seeing how it was exclusively on the iOS to begin with. Android phones, Facebook, Google Chrome and the iPad are just a few of the many platforms that gamers can use to download
and play the game.
However, what remains to be seen is whether or not there will be interest in the latest iteration of the game seeing how all the preceding titles have been pretty similar in terms of gameplay mechanics. At the same though, the fact that the game was downloaded
over 6-milllion times on Christmas day will be something that ought to settle that debate.
Keep it here to find out more about the game as when the story breaks.
