Angry email (crime/legal ?)?

has a crime been committed if someone emails someone else that people like them should kill themselves? It seems like a minor thing, but also, i think might be construed as a threat? Will the police take this seriously?

no it will not be taken as a threat because a they are not threatening to do it themselves, they are wanting you to do it to yourself however it is illegal for someone to tell you to kill yourself because its look at as harassment. but they probably wont take it seriously.

I think it is a crime to threaten somebody in that way, no matter which way it is delivered!

it must be a direct threat  to someone to be criminal

if someone sends a email saying that all people on death row should be executed - it is their opinion - It does not mean they will go execute everyone on death row
