Hi does anyone know of a service that can cater for the above? Also how much it would cost return, how regular it is and most importantly how long the ferry would take? Would it be viable for regular weekend or two nighly trips?

Thanks

Peter

  1. Check the websites for the countries you are interested in.  There are ferry services in the islands, but whether they go to the ones you are asking about - well, you'll have to check.  You could do a Yahoo or Google search for "Anguilla ferries" or "BVI ferries", for example.

There are a couple of other websites that might be helpful:  vinow.com and caribbeanonline.com.

  2. Sorry the Anguilla ferry goes only to St Martin. Here is a link to airlines that can get you to St Thomas and than you would need to take ferry over to the BVI.

The BVI ferries will take you to St Thomas and St John and within the BVI only.

Here is a link to all the ferries in the Caribbean.

    Good Luck)

  3. http://www.smithsferry.com

It will take you from Anguilla to St. Thomas.

Then the same ferry service will go St. Thomas to Tortola and then goes on to Virgin Gorda.

Thats the cheapest way other then getting a small plane or chartering a boat.

    Good luck with your Vacation!

Virgin Gorda is amazing at The Baths..and bring a disposable underwater camera so you can take pics

  4. Anguilla to the BVIs is 64 miles of open ocean called the Anegada Passage and having sailed it a few dozen times, it's no place for a ferry!

LIAT airlines flies from Antigua to Anguilla and then on to Tortola BVI and return.

You could fly between St Maarten and St Thomas and get ferries on each end  ( STT>Tortola, STM>Anguilla) but the connections times are very tight and you would probably end up overnight on the wrong island.

    LIAT is your only choice
