And will NASCAR fans continue to buy Bud, even after it becomes an "import"?

I'm thinking of the Toyota bashers on here :^)

  1. They've have not started to  weed themselves out  .its all about the money, haven't you figured that out yet .if they wanted out they would have just dropped it all at once.the way the economy is today it wasn't a bad idea . don't get me wrong I'm all for keep American company's in America . the flavor wont change nor will the color or the label  nor will Kasey's sponsorship with bud . now stop being such a d**n sissy!

  2. The Beck's pole award sounds good.

  3. I would think the new owners will have to honor existing contracts. Past that, who knows.

  4. I hope they not only get out of NASCAR but I hope they go out of business. I won't be giving them another penny of my hard earned cash. They are all a bunch of greedy, money-hungry whores who deserve to be run out of business for selling their souls to the devil. Pretty soon, there won't be anything left that is American owned and operated. I say boycott every single product they make. They, along with others, need to know the American people want this country to continue to be AMERICA!!!!

  5. Hmmm well imagine that. It seems like the beer world is like the telecommunications world. Merges left, right & center.

    Cingular + AT&T = Cingular then AT&T + Cingular = AT&T?

    (never undrestood that 1)

Sprint + NEXTEL = Sprint NEXTEL

SABMiller + Molson Coors = MillerCoors

    & now

    InBev + Anheuser-Busch = Anheuser-Bush InBev

    ___

Its funny, I didn't think Anheuser-Bush was in a position to be bought. So much for "The Great American Lager"

(Don't drink anyway, so it doesn't matter to me so much)

  6. has Coors sold out yet?

  7. wel as far as i know it stil wil be made hewre in the states like it has been since 1846.

as for me i don't drink Budweiser

  8. They'll stay if the money is good.  If they determine that sponsorship in NASCAR increases the sale of Budweiser, they'll stay in NASCAR.  They didn't start sponsoring cars in NASCAR to say, "Hey, we're in NASCAR!"  They went there to make money.  Most sponsors in NASCAR are seeing favorable returns on their investment.  It's likely they'll stay.

There's a lot more to running a company than advertising it.

  9. It'll probably be better. I never liked Spudweiser

  10. I am not a drinker but in my opinion Budweiser is selling out to foreign business just like many more have done ..and I imagine, Budweiser will pull out as soon as they can, not sure when their contract is up with Everham/Gillette but at this point, the foreign companies buying all the American Companies..they do not care..Money is their factor not Nascar

  11. They will stay as Anstel Anhauser Busch

  12. j*p imports are so 1940's.

  13. They've already started weeding themselves out. The Busch pole award, Busch series, Bud 500- all past history. They'll sponsor a car simply because Miller does; but Kasey Kahne? Is that sissy even old enough to drink a beer? It's a sad state that racing has become...

  14. Miller is owned by a South African company - is Coors still U.S owned?

  15. wait a minute - people whine incessantly about toyota being an import and then when confronted with the fact that more toyotas (camrys in particular) are manufactured here (not just assembled - they have engine plants and all here) than anywhere else (giving americans union jobs i'm sure), people complain that the owners aren't in the US.

that confuses me - the other three manufacturers ship their manufacturing/assembling to other countries to give residents of other countries jobs (and minimal wages i'm sure), and a few fat cats make big bucks off it in the US and that's better than a company like toyota giving americans union-paying jobs in the US?

same argument applies here... now it's ok that anheuser-busch is owned by a foreign company as long as the beer is made here? i smell hypocrisy fouling the air like a frat-house carpet after rush week...

  16. The last I heard that wasn't a done deal. Ok so it is. It will still be made in the U.S.

  17. So many American companies have been sold to foriegn countries.  It seems all well and good because, after all, the company still makes their product here and creates American jobs etc.  But for how long?  What people don't seem to realize that they can put a stop to production at anytime.  There are very few truely American owned companies anymore.

  18. i dont think so which is weird... that is why they lost busch sponsorship
