  1. I've been following the story for weeks now. A-B will retain their name and trademark as most of our American businesses have after being swallowed up by foreign competitors. It would be business suicide to do otherwise as most consumers will cease to buy the product under a different name or label. It is possible, however, that Inbev could pull the sponsorship as they are known (See Canada, LaBatt's beer) for cost-cutting and down sizing. I love NASCAR but the bigger issue for me is the fact that this is yet another chunk of Americana being in the hands of foreign investors. And the effect on the economy is just beginning to become apparent. Hunker down folks. We're in for a long cold winter. But this cold spell ain't gonna end next spring. Entertainment groups like NASCAR never would have survived the great depression and may not survive this one. So get a belly-full while you can.

  2. i think it sucks they sold out

    whats this country coming to

all the big money people being selfish and lazy

    thinking only of their lives

money is the root to all evil

  3. Well I don't see that happening. Bud is big name in beer internationally so I don't see them altering it. Maybe managerial-wise behind the scenes, but nothing to affect it, itself.

I've said it once & I'll say it again, I didn't think A-B was in a position to be bought, but...well imagine that...it was, & it was.

  4. Not sure as of now...no reports were called for any effect for the 9 car.

    Stay tuned.

  5. It seems that selling out is the new american way. It is sad to see a company that helped build this country to taken over by not just another company but one in Germany. In the next few years it won't be just spanish we all have to know it will be a miss match of all sorts of languages because right now america is for sale and so are we the people. We are losing all the values that made this country great and soon it will be like getting on the ride ITS A SMALL WORLD at Disneyland. I am sure Kasey will keep his sponsor as INBEV has said it is not planning on changing anything. But I can tell you that if it comes to having to cut some corners Nascar sponsorship will be one of the first to go.

  6. DUDE , NOTHING IS GONNA CHANGE. INBEV BOUGHT ANHEUSER-BUSCH . DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK THEY WOULD CHANGE THE NAME OF THE MOST POPLAR BEER THAT THERE IS OUT THERE . .... WRONG!!! SAME OLD RED,SAME OLD RED LABEL,. NOTHING WILL CHANGE .

  7. I hope they stay in Nascar. I think the Bud Light color's would be a cool switch.

According to Jayski, they'll remain a sponsor of the 9 car until the contract run's out. Nothing has been announced after that. It's just waaaay to early to talk about that.

I'm a close watcher of this deal because AB is right here in St. Louis. It's been the headlines here. I literally will be driving right by the brewery on I-55 N. on my way to Gateway for the Saturday night Nationwide series race. Hmmm, used to be Busch series. lol

They said the same thing about the contract obligations concerning the name 'Busch Stadium' where the MLB Cardinals play.

I'm actually shocked they sold! AB has been here and owned, more or less, by the family that founded it since the 1800's!

These speculation's are valid to me because there was already talk of In-Bev selling off AB's amusement parks like Busch Gardens in Tampa FL. etc. etc. to boost the company's profit's.

Sponsorship's, however, is advertising and looked at differently. Only time will tell.

  8. I'm sure they'll keep the Bud car.  InBev could also market some of their other beers on Kasey's car.  I'm actually kinda siked about the buyout.  InBev has over 200 different brands.  Some of which you couldn't buy in the US.  Now we'll have more beer to choose from.  It's not like they are going to just shut down all the A-B plants and distribution centers.  People will still have jobs, people will still get paid, and those same people will be able to spend their money here in America.  Just because a company gets bought out by foreign interests doesn't mean the money stops flowing here.

  9. There will be no changes at all.  But I would have expected stupid questions like this from the NASCAR Fans (aka Marketing Geniuses)
