I’ve been using Anhydrol Forte to prevent excess sweating and its worked wonders, however every time that I use it, it seems to be getting more painful. Does anyone know of an alternative I can use?

  1. i had the same problem so i went to the doctors, they told me that anhydrol forte is the best one but there is another called Driclor, however i am also having a reaction to that one, but the doctor is now seeing if i can have botox done on the armpits to stop the sweat glands producing sweat.... hope i have helped.

  2. I don't know why the active ingredient would be causing pain unless you are shaving your armpits. (Do not shave the armpits or use a hair-removing preparation within 12 hours before or after using Anhydrol Forte.) However, aluminum chlorhydrate is not a good thing to be using long term, especially in this concentration.

The best thing would be to seek the advice of a naturopath to root out and treat the underlying cause of your excess perspiration. Lung or kidney disease are suspected causes. May be related to menopause.

That said, sage tea will help somewhat. Put one heaped teaspoon of fresh sage or 1/2 teaspoon of dried powder sage in a cup and pour boiling water over it. Let sit, covered, for 5 minutes, strain & sweeten w/ 1 teaspoon honey. Best drunk lukewarm or cold. (Sage is not to be used if pregnant or nursing.)

Externally, put 6 drops Sage essential oil in 15ml Almond oil and use this for deodorant as needed.

Horsetail and Nettles are also known to help with hyperhidrosis. Take as tea or capsules.
