more of myself next year.”
Even though Anichebe has mostly played for the Toffees as a wide-attacking player, he revealed that he would like to assume the position of a regular centre forward. However, he indicated that he had played in different positions up-front and is willing
to fill in any slot for the benefit of his team.
With the London Olympics fast approaching, the Nigerian footballer also expressed his excitement over the prospects of representing his country in the showpiece event. The centre forward made his International debut in March 2008 in an Olympic games qualifying
match, and scored a goal in Nigeria’s match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 in the Beijing Olympics 2008. In total he has made 11 international appearances for the African team.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 at Beijing and the memories of the game were still fresh in Anichebe’s mind. He mentioned that even though his team lost the grand finale against the South Americans, he was privileged to be on the same field as the
Argentine talisman http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 and other world class players.
He added, “They had a really, really strong team - (Lionel) Messi, (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030) Aguero, (Javier) Mascherano were there. They won it in the end as they had an unbelievable team. I think that was the best part of it more than anything - just being around all the
different kinds of people.”
