Kumble, the 41-year-old former Karnataka leg spinner had resigned from the coveted position on Monday after developing differences with the supreme cricketing authority in India and other committee members regarding the functioning of NCA.
"I had a three-year vision to make NCA a better,” said Kumble while talking to the media reporters after resigning from the NCA chairman position on Monday.
“I had made 10 presentations during my tenure as chairman with the hope that my vision could be accepted. Even on Sunday I had discussed this at the NCA meeting in Chennai. But it was not in alignment with the rest of the committee," he added further.

“Some of the Board members did ask me to reconsider my decision, but my mind was made up... It’s for somebody else to try and take the NCA forward,” Kumble remarked.
"I felt that it made no sense to be a chairman when I was not being heard. I had no other option but to move on in life," he added further.
Besides being the chairman of Bangalore-located National Cricket Academy (NCA), Kumble was also president of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Karnataka-c801 State Cricket Association (KSCA) and hoped to work for the betterment of Indian cricket in his capacity as KSCA president.
Kumble’s resignation from the NCA chairman position has come almost two months after his multiple roles were questioned by the cricket pundits of India. Cricket experts had felt that Kumble’s appointment as the NCA chairman, when he is also president of
KSCA, could lead to conflict of interest.
However, the veteran had justified his various roles saying that he had never been attracted by the power associated with the coveted position but by the challenge and responsibility for bringing about a change in the game.
