Animal Crossing DS - Fruit On Table?

Question

How do I put my fruit on my table in Animal Crossing DS? I stand right in front of the table, and the click on either my apple, cherry, peach, or coconut, and select: 'Place in room', and it just falls right baneeth me! Is there a table that allows you to put fruit on it? If so, which one? Please help me!!!! Also, can only a certain type of fruit go on the table?

no im sorry u cant. but u can put bugs, and flowers on the tables! :D (the bugs will automatically be in a cage)
