Animal Farm questions? Please help?

I start school soon andI have a report to do for Animal Farm. We have a lot of questions and some of them I just don't get or can't figure out the answer to. If you could help me out with any of these it would be great.

Here are the questions I'm having trouble with:

1)Who formulated Seven Commandments.Was it done in a democratic way? Explain?

2)What did the Animal Farm flag look like. To what would it compare to historically? I know what the flag looks like. It's green with a hoof and horn on it. But I don't know what it would compare to historically.

3) How did rebelliousness show itself on other farms?

4) For what purpose does Napoleon train the sheep to repeat "Four legs good, two legs bad"?

5) What do you think happened to the windmill? Look for proof in the novel to support your opinion.

6) What is ironic about the pigs gaining so much weight?

7) What is significant about the reappearance of Moses?

8) What is the similarity between Napoleon and Jones?

9)How do the animals reactwhen they see the pigs at the card game?

And we have a paragraph assignment to do. The question is:

"Consider the scene late in the novel when the pigs are sitting around the table playing cards and acting like humans. In a well- written formal paragraph, explain the irony of this scence."

I don't want you to write a paragraph. But just somethings ironic about the scene.

I have not read Animal Farm, but there are a number of online study guides, and quite a few other resources on the web that can help you with this question.  Most of them have quite a bit of good information.  Additionally, many questions have been asked about it here on Yahoo Answers so do a search for it in the Y!A search window and you will get more help.  Have a look at these sites, and you should get some help with your work.

i read the book a long time ago, so i can only answer some

1.) no, b/c only the "top pigs"could do it

4.) propaganda

6.) they want "equality" but they're getting more than others

9.) cards is a "human thing" which is bad, right? so why are they playing cards??

1) I read this over a year ago, but I don't think it was done in a democratic way.  One of the pigs wrote it, I think.

2) I would compart it to the soviet flag, historically.

3) Can't remember

5) I believe that the pig who was banished or thrown out or whatever came back and destroyed it.  There was evidence, you'll  have to re-read that page.

Sorry I can't remember more, but if you have truly read the whole book, you should be able to answer these all.  It might mean going back and re-reading certain parts.

If you're having problems, you might want to research a bit on the soviet union .
