Animal Spirits?

Ok, I'm always learning about paranormal stuff, and I am very interested in it. I have heard hundreds of stories about spirits, and the ghosts or spirits are always people [or some kind of demon], and then I was reading the story about the guy with the cat spirit, and I started thinking, has there really been a large number of stories about animal spirits, because this is the first I've heard about one. and has there ever been a story of a violent encounter [Just like some people or demon encounters], that would be really weird.

Not only have I heard from this woman that sees a ghost dog in her places, but I had my beagle come back the first day, anyways...I felt her presence, and when she jump up on the bed and laid down near my feet like usual.

When I was a small boy, my grandmother had a beautiful chocolate retriever...one day she took the dog to the store, and even gave it some snack to eat on the way home. When they got to the front door, as she searched for her keys, she saw her dog walk right through the door. Well the very next day, they found her dog under the stairs dead. It died and not knew it were dead. My older brother saw the dogs head up on a shelf when he open the closet door a short time after it died.

There are a great many stories and books (link below) on animal ghosts. Approximately 20% of all ghost sightings are of animals the most common being cats and dogs (also the most common pets).

A question was posted early about why no dinsosaur ghosts and I suspect that is because no human being ever formed an emotional (or spirtual) bond with them to want to comunicate with them before or after death.

I did hear a story of a man seeing the ghost of his pet Iguana so another argument of bad logic by the skeptics is summarily dismissed.

ya there are violent attacks by animal spirits i have been attached by one of my old cats and had a long scratch down my leg on my face and on my back

I believe there's a ghost cat in my house, but it's not violent in any way, it's just, there. It's always around and doesn't do anything, really, acts just like it's alive. Although it can feel when I'm upset I think and sometimes comforts me at night. =) I have never heard of any other ghost animals besides cats, and I've never heard anything bad about them.
