Animal crossing Can you help!?

Question

I donated all but one of the fossils in my museum - when i finally found the last fossil to donate i went to the museum donated it and got told i had completed all the dino's etc. but then i left the game on without saving it - forgot about it and when i went back to it the next day - the battery had died!! nooooo!!

It says i have already donated the last peice when i go into the museum - but the head doesnt show!! it still shows its missing - even when i donate it again - myself or with another player - blathers says you have already donated the piece.

Also i cannot buy it in the catalogue as its not showing on there either!! how do i get it to show in the museum???

I have had the exact same problem before, I have just started again! D= xD Which means I need someone to buy from tom nook so I can get nookingtons :(
