  1. When you move, you have to have a different game cartridge to move onto, and another DS. In the town that you live in, you have to go to the post office and talk to Pelly or Phillys at the left counter. On the other cartridge, you have to be at the main menu and choose "other things," then "immigration." You can't move to a new town if four people already live there.

As for items, I moved from my brother's town when I got my own game. You keep:

1.) All letters and attached items that are stored in your letter storage at the post office.

2.) All money in your savings.

3.) Everything in your inventory, including letters.

4.) The clothes you are wearing, and eight patterns that you are carrying.

5.) Everything in your catalogue will available to order.

6.) Your emotes (from Dr. Shrunk).

7.) The way your eyes look, and your current hairstyle, even though the town you move to may not have Nookington's.

8.) Finally, your bug and fish logs.

    You can't keep:

    1.) Shop expansions.

    2.) House expansions.

3.) Items in your house and wardrobe. Yes, even if you bring the wardrobe with you, the items in it will disappear.

4.) Everything in the museum will be gone... And I'm pretty sure, constellations, too.

5.) Letters in your mailbox. Check before you leave!

When you move, you get in the cab with Kapp'n again, and you get to rename your town, but you can't choose a new name for yourself.

Well, that's about it. Rethink this. A lot of people think that moving is within the same game cartridge, but that wouldn't work so great if you had more than one person living in town... Anyways, I hope I helped you figure this out! ◊◊
