Question:

Animal housing? Need a use for old bricks and blocks.?

While putting up some fencing this week, I have unearthed what looks like the remains of an old patio. There must be about 40 concrete blocks (kind with the two oval "tunnels" through it- real heavy.) and probably 100-200 bricks. Many are broken but many are not.

We have goats, getting a Saint Bernard, chickens, turkey, and a rabbit.

I would like to take some ideas on what I might use these bricks for. I would be open to learning how to set with mortar, etc.

I am quite worried about something collapsing, hurting something.

Plans, websites and instructions or tips would be apreciated! or just to brainstorm a bit.

  1. Please, if you construct something using bricks and such, do it correcty with mortar. Keep drainage and ventilation factored in, and don't create a safe place for unwanted critters....i.e. snakes, scorpions, spiders, etc.
