whether you like it or not, thats the way life is. some eat and some are eaten. its the circle of life. though i believe that the animals should be treated a bit more humanely, i still eat the meat. i wont think about if i was the animal, because i am not the animal. vegetarians need to face the fact that humans have and always will be higher on the food chain than a chicken

The school should teach children that cruelty to animal is wrong, and we should not raise animals for food, everyone should become vegetarian.

It's sad that people can dismiss animal suffering by vaguely referring to the "circle of life" or the "food chain." I think those people might feel differently if they were the ones being intensively confined 24 hours a day, denied everything that's natural or pleasurable to them, mutilated without any painkillers, and slaughtered while fully conscious.

Organizations like Mercy for Animals, Compassion Over Killing, PETA, and others have investigated factory farms and slaughterhouses. These organizations' undercover videos have been uploaded to YouTube. So I also find it sad that some people would dismiss the suffering in those videos simply by saying that YouTube isn't to be trusted.

First, YouTube is a video website. It also has videos of supposed UFOs.. Shall we all panic and  scream "the martians are coming!!"?

Guess what goldilocks, humans ARE animals. didn't they teach you that in school?

As for what I feel, nothing. I don't buy meat from large commercial suppliers so for me what you are saying does not make sense. I am not answering for anybody, just for myself.

the late Steve Irwin, Jack Hannah, Jane Goodall, etc are all distinguished animal lovers with decades of acheivments in animal care and study and they all ate or eat meat. You are better than they are you think?

i love meat and am not about to give it up. although i must say that the video was disturbing. talk about animal cruelty. this is the reason why some religions (such as Islam for example) have rules on how to slaughter an animal. yes you are still killing the animal but its done in a way that is not so painful and kills them instantaneously as opposed to what i saw in the video. i know there are many vegans on this forum but no disrespect - i do love my meat! however, such torture should be banned. its ridiculous how many chickens/hens were crammed together not to mention the ones that lay eggs.

OMG this is the EXACT video that made me a vegetarian. before I saw this, I loved meat but after I started watching videos of animals being tortured I stopped. It takes a small person to torture and kill a defenseless and animal, and an even smaller person to eat it!! I swore I would never eat meat again and I haven't. heres another heart wrenching video about animals being tortured just to satisfy someones taste buds. I dunno if this link will work but I hope it does. people need to be educated about how animals are tortured just to become someone else's meal.
