Question:

Animal occupations and piercings?

So I already have an eyebrow piercing. But I might get more and I'm planning for my permanent career to be in animal refuge or rehabilitation.

I understand that if hired, they'll prolly want you to take off facial piercing so animals don't have to potential to take it off for you =P

Basically, when it comes to hiring, how prejudice are most places/people in the animal industry?

  1. its really not about prejudice. its about your own safety. any animal could pull out your piercing and take a piece of your face with it. Its a safety hazard when working with animals. regardless you should remove the piercings when applying for any job. It shows that you are serious about employment.  don't worry the holes will still be there when you get off of work..;0) what im sayin is they won't want you to wear any for your own safety and so they won't be a liability if something is to happen to you.

  2. it depends what community  you are working in

    and community members conservativeness
