Animal rights?

why do animal rights groups spend so much time and money helping animals instead of people. there are people dying to stupid diseases with cures like cholera, worms, and there is poverty, starvation. but you'ld rather go and help a stupid seal.

it breaks my heart.

This is a touchy subject, however there are lots of groups out there that care about all sorts of problems our world faces. There's no reason to target animal rights groups in particular. Let the animal people help the animals, and the...well..."people" people help them. Wouldn't you agree?

There are some people that help people and others that help animals - it helps keep the world balanced.  Just the other night they announced that the lottery was up to 50 million dollars.  Someone made a comment saying that no one needed all that money.  I said if I won I would donate some to help animals.  If I could I would help every animal available.  It breaks my heart to know that a good percentage of my money donated to charities mentioned by you actually go to high executives to stay in expensive 5 star hotels and the rest going towards the actual charity. And don't say that isn't true because it has been shown on the news and verified. At least if I donate to the local animal shelter it stays there.

There's some people who don't do anything period...I would rather help children myself but you can't be mad at someone for trying to do something (anything ) positive....

Well people arent losing their habitat and they arent dying from global warming. We are hurting the animals so we should help them. We need animals to live. They die we die!
