Animal shelter and their adoption pendings.?

Question

when an adoption is pending on a dog and they tell me i am always welcome to come in and put in an application on the dog..what actually makes the application fail?

whether the house is suitable for the dog has a lot to dowith it... there are a few stipulations...just check with the ahelter..

Generally, if the animal is taken back by the owner or a relative of the owner.  Our shelter requires you to list a vet that you've used in the past (if you have previously had pets) and if you aren't bringing animals in regularly (not necessarily annually) for checkups, your application can be refused.  Another reason is if you've come in for pets more than once. What happened to the previous one?  Are you letting your cat outside or keeping it indoors? (that's a biggie for getting turned down for a cat these days if you live in the city).
