Yes, how many of those respondents who say it is wrong and shouldn't happen would happily take the medication, have the operation or wish the same for their loved ones in a time of need. These things could not happen without animal testing.

Yes, I have seen animal used in research.  In all those years I have never witness animal cruelty.  You see when you mistreat a research animal there is the possibility that mistreatment could interfere with the outcome of the research.  

Using animals in research not only helps humans but other animals as well.  It is totally illogical to be against using animals in research.  Every human being on Earth has benefited.  If you hate people and humanity, perhaps you have a reason for not wanting animals used in research.

As a human being I say it is OK!, coz if I had to choose betwen its, and my death, than the answer is clear - animal would die, because I am the one who decide.

Imagine the situation in which some ape, could stay alive by killig You. I'm pretty shure, You would be dead now.

There is nothing wrong with testing on animals that have been "raised" for that purpose.  They would not even exist otherwise.  Or, unwanted animals for that matter.  It is far better to test on animals than on "unsuspecting" human populations.  Which "has" been done, like in n***s Germany.  There is nothing wrong with testing on human beings either, IF they know what they are getting into and the risks.

Would you rather be back in the dark ages of medicine?  Which is better, to have a few mice and rats die, or to have YOU die because doctors don't know how to treat you for Cholera or Neumonia or Liver Disease, or give you a Heart Transplant ??  Scientists and doctors LEARN these things through experimentation with lab animals.

Think about it.

This is a really hard question to answer outright. I have heard and seen some of the things they do to animals... and i don't agree with those methods. But do you want testing done on humans? I don't. But at what cost does human achievement worth? is a new medicine that can save lives worth animal lives? in my views... yes.

In short- i believe animal testing is OK.. if it's done in a humane way.

I dont have to see what they do physically.   Animal testing is bad and disagree with it 100%. I think those who have done very bad crimes such as murder should be used as the testers.

Although causing pain and discomfort to animals is never good there are circumstances in which it is necessary to test on animals. The next time you visit a doctor and your given some medication would you want to have been the first living being it had been tested on? No didnt think so.
