Please help me understand. I just read the Y!A question below: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah8bYkjiJNJ_dKkx7Uw8WaZJxQt.;_ylv=3?qid=20080430232400AAaflI6 You know when they say that in a litter of puppies or litter of kittens, there is one that isn't supposed to make it... like natural selection... the weaker kitten/puppy is supposed to be euthanized? Then why is it that a human child with a birth defect like Down syndrome or Cerebral Palsy in theory "is not supposed to make it also" but we say, "Don't euthanize the kid..." Why do we say one thing for animals and do so much justification for humans? Natural selection is not different for both humans and animals... I just don't understand...
