Animals and pregnancy?

My hubby's cat never came close to me since I've moved in with him nine months ago. About two months ago,I was busy eating and watching tv (hubby was at work) when the cat all of a sudden jumped on my lap and did the scratchy-purry thing on my tummy. Since then she's been following me around, even jumping on the bed to just watch me,which she has never done before. This morning, for the first time, she followed me straight into the bathroom and sat at my feet while I was weeing..lol. The first time she jumped on my lap I thought maybe I'm pregnant, since then I have taken numerous tests (hpt's and one blood test),bloods were negative (two months ago),last hpt was VERY faint positive and the one after the faint positive was negative. I haven't missed a period, they've just been more light than usual. Other symptoms are blue veins everywhere! b*****s,chest, arms, legs, pelvic area, extremely moody(especially teary),very very tired, increased appetite for sweet stuff where I usually don't eat sweets, nausea but not often and not that bad,it comes and goes, hungry when I wake up, no breast tenderness,no changes in colour of areola,a cold that doesn't want to go away, slight lower back pain, which also comes and goes!!! And of course the cat that keeps following me and meowing as if she's trying to tell me something! Please no rude answers, sorry for the looong question. Thanks for the replies!

  1. Maybe you should go get a test from your doctor

It would be more accurate since the home ones seem to be running you in circles.

That's so crazy of your cat!!

    Congrats if you are!!!

  2. Have you missed a period? Not that this is proof, animals have a very strong instinct, maybe he has just decided that he likes you after all, don't be surprised at what the cat might know

  3. Cats' faeces may contain a disease that could damage your baby, so:

avoid emptying litter trays or wear disposable rubber gloves

trays should be cleaned daily by filling with boiling water for ten minutes

avoid close contact with sick cats

wear gloves when gardening - even if you don't have a cat - in case the soil is contaminated with faeces

avoid lambing, milking ewes and all newborn lambs

  4. Take another test, or get a blood test. Faint positives are still positive!

  5. well my husband was married and has kids from that marriage and he said they knew she was pregnant the second time because the cat was being all lovey-dovey again... animals certainly can sense things, and if you are one of the women who produce low levels of preggo hormones i guess it is possible... unfortunately all i can advise is going to the doctor again, not just for a blood test schedule a meeting/exam too
