Question:

Animation Student Help!

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I just enrolled in college and I am taking animation. My first assignment is to talk to an expert in my field of interest, an animator, and get them to actually answer my questions, so if there are any professional animators that could answer my questions I would greatly appreciate it.

1. What requirements do you think are necessary in an animation career?

2. Do you think that there are any drawbacks of being an animator?

3. When did you decide to become an animator?

4. What are your hours like?

5. Do you find that being an animator is fulfilling?

6. What are specific tasks and specializations as an entry level animator?

Thank you for your time and effort.

  1. I'm not a professional (yet), as I just graduated myself, but I have to say that's a very strange assignment to be given. A lot of professionals in any field heave a great sigh when tutors send students running to them with questions. Answering questions like that is the tutor's job!

I think it's unlikely you'll find what you need here - what I suggest you do is look for personal homepages of animators which welcome questions and comments, and send them a polite email asking if they could take a moment to answer your questions.

    Good luck with your course!
