Anime, am i a freak?

Question

I love anime.

I watch, read, and draw it. The only problem is that my sister hates it.

She calls me a freak, but it does not bother me.

What i want to ask is should i stop for her sake?

she hates it when i watch it when her friends are over.

should i give up my love for her?

or stay with anime?

My advice; don't listen to her!! It's not your problem if she's bothered by it, she should just grow up and get over it. Everyone has different opinions, and different tastes.

If she can't deal with you liking anime, then that's her problem! Why should you give up something you love for her sake?? Would she give up something she loves for you?

If you find something you enjoy, don't let anyone tell you you're wrong for loving it. People may not always approve, but if it makes you happy then why should you care what they think? It's your life, your decisions. She shouldn't be so bossy!!

Also, you're lucky to have friends who enjoy anime too! You should invite your friends over and have an anime sleepover =D

Perhaps you can try and meet her in the middle if it really bothers her THAT much, by trying not to watch it so much when she's around, or whatever. But I don't see why you should have to! Embrace the anime love!! =D

My sister thinks I'm weird too! She calls anime stupid, g*y, worthless, trash, so on and so forth. But 1 of my 4 closest friends like it. She watches  Inuyasha all the time but doesn't read it. I on the other hand read one piece constantly and wach it constantly along with inuyasha. But i just tell her, Sis when ever i was little (she is 8 years older than me and if you're older than her you can say "when you were little") i remember coming in and you watched some dumb things so what's the difference?

Staying with anime does not mean you're giving up your love for her. My sister was the same way. She would nag me a lot about anime, but then, since we share a room, she watched with me and started liking it as well. I think you should stay with anime. It doesn't mean you won't love your sister anymore. Anime is something that makes you who you are. I think she should accept that.

I love anime, and I read it and watch it...but not draw it. My sister thinks it's pretty usless, my brother doesn't watch it but he doesn't care if I watch it or read it. My friends like it, but not all of them. All of my other family members (cousins) either hate it or have no clue what it is. If they knew that I watched it, they would probably call me a freak or something like that.

NO! u shouldn't quit doing what you like for ur sister!! keep watching  ever u want!! but if u purposely do it in front of her friends... well that's another story!!! just talk to her and tell her that she should just accept u for who u are and what u like! then see if she is a little nicer to u about it. if she isn't then try to go in private when you watch anime or instead read mangas. and try not to lose your bond with her just because of anime! hope i helped!

s***w her and her g*y friends. she is the real freak if she actually cares what you do. does she just walk in your room and say it's g*y. my older and younger sisters both do the same thing. they walk and my room and see me watching anime and she says, that c**p is g*y. i don't listen to her. you are not a freak at all. how does watching a simple show make you a freak. who cares what your sister thinks. don't make her run your life. you need to stand up for yourself. do your parents know that she keeps picking on you and telling you your a freak. if so, tell your mom or dad. she probably needs a good *** wooping. keep on watching anime and don't let anybody tell you that you are a freak and stand up for yourself. hope i help
