try tenga toppa gurren lagann. it's quite a new anime. it involves mechas and over the top effects that'll make you scream "F-ING EPIC!"

Try Lupin the 3rd. He's a 3rd generation con artist with 3 friends, a Japanese samauri, an American sharpshooter, and a girlfriend who is as crafty and money hungry as Lupin. There's also a bumbling tenacious police lieutenant who follows Lupin everywhere trying to thwart his plans. Their adventures take them all over the world. One of my favorites is when he tried to steal the huge Christ statue in Rio. LOL!

I think that you might like "Black Cat".

It's about an assassin, I didn't finish watching yet myself but it's pretty good so far.

"Vampire Knight" maybe (since you like Devil May Cry), I didn't watch it, but my friends say that it's really good.

It's about a girl who became the guardian of a vampire who saved her when she was small.
