I just finished downloading Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai and they're all .mkv files, I got VLCplayer so I could watch them, but now there arent any subs as opposed to when I converted them to AVI, when they were in AVI, the quality really sucked and the frame size went down drastically, the subs weren't all that great on the AVI, and now when I play them in VLC, there aren't any at all....and well...I can't speak too much Japanese, so I'm pretty much lost, is there anywhere I can download subs for them?

  1. watch these episode on veoh.com

  2. Did you download raws or ones with subs? Sometimes with VLC you have to put the option of subs on yourself. Here are instructions to open your subs:

    1. Open VLC player with the show you want to watch.

    2. Click on "Video" on top of the VLC player.

    3. Go to "Subtitles Track"

    4. Choose the language you want.

If that's not available, that means you probably downloaded raws, but if that's not the problem then you just had to turn on the subtitles.

    Hope this helps!

edit: In case they were raws, here are sites where you can watch the episodes on stream:
