Dragon Drive was about the only good one.  Escaflowne was sweet, the series at least wasnt a fan of the movie, but it wasn't about dragons.

Escaflowne is probably the best anime about dragons you're going to find that isn't g*y and like made for five-years old. You can watch it on myspacetv.com just search escaflowne 1.
