Anime makes you nerdy?

why is it that anime makes 90% of their fans total nerds!! it starts out with watching it, then having posters, then music, then they start sucking up to all their asian friends and start buying naruto things.

HELP ME!!!!!! my brother is obsessed with asians too and thinks that their the most dominating race.we're not even asian!. he convinced himself that mexicans are somehow related to the japanese.he wants to go to japan, i swear to god hes going to have culter shock or something since the countries are so different.

i have no problems with anime or asians but WHY ARE PEOPLE OBSESSED WITH THIS?!!?!?!?111?!!?1!

I'm a Japanese girl, but I never had any friends who are crazy about Anime.

Anime freaks are the minority even in Japan.

I know that many of latins and Europeans esp French and Spanish are crazy about Anime.

Unfortunately, as a Japanese I have to think of Anime as a part of Japanese culture, but its just a part. Please tell your brother that not many Japanese have ideas about Anime...

LOL wat a funny story.. anime is somewat of an underground trend so thats what makes it "nerdy" ya know wats not popular is pretty geeky.. and the anime sub-culture is so easily its own world that people just become that obsessed and its fun...

I am such a nerd. Nerds at least are not crowd followers. You should be proud of your brother. He is not like all the sheep out there. Anime rules, too.

anime does make you a nerd . it just brings out the nerd in all of us. I not a nerd but i enjoy anime for a good laugh now and then

well... some anime shows are really good, the japanese are good at making stories and creating characters with extraordinary abilites. Plus, there are millions of them (animes and manga)  They're basically just like a comic or a TV show that you really like.

I used to be obsessed with Japanese Animations..

I watched it all the time,

But then I start to dislike it as I grow older,

I've got better stuff to do,

Homework, Studying, Getting into a Good High School, Chatting with my friends, Going to the Movies, Travelling, etc.

No time for Anime,

So, I guess you and your brother will dislike Anime sooner or later,

But still, getting obsessed with it in a young age is not good,

SO..

The solution is to get your brother ACTIVE

The reason why I quitted Anime (I still watch Naruto or Doraemon to bring back memories, but yeah,) was that my schedule is filled up..

So, play with your brother sports, OR Arts, or maybe play with friends,

People who watch Anime are considered nerds because they're lacking of Social Life (Because they spend their time mostly watching Anime)

Nerds are basically people who are lacking off social life,

So, to not be an Anime Nerd, be active..:)
