  1. hmm. you might want to try Death Note, the anime. it's a classic. it WILL NOT fail you. :D

The series is about Light Yagami, an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, Light realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his judgement on those he deems to be evil or who get in his way.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" (キラ, "Kira"? derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

I also recommend Blood+. pretty captivating if you think about it. and the action is sweet. :]

Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya Otonashi has been living the life of an anemic and amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl. Saya’s happy life is shattered when she is attacked by a chiropteran, learning that she is the only one who can defeat them.

Armed with her katana, Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies, and her chevalier, Hagi, to rid the world of chiropteran and rediscover her identity. The course of the journey reveals the background history of the chiropterans and Saya's very deep past, which extends into the mid-19th century.

The series is initially set in present day (September 2005) Okinawa City (Koza), on Okinawa Island, near the US Kadena Air Base. In the course of the series, Saya visits locations across the world, fighting enemy chiropteran and searching for her origins.

  5. How about Heroic Age?  It was pretty good.  Not too childish, and had some interesting perspectives, while at the same time, had some fun parts, and was definitely visually impressive with some great action scenes.

  6. OMG you obviously like action and original storylines right? well I would highly recommend D.gray-man!!!! I found this anime after looking for an anime to watch to fill the gap for naruto and bleach fillers killed and fell completely in love with D.gray-man. It has great characters, plenty of action-way more than naruto and bleach I'd say and such an intricate, deep and original plot that I'd say surpasses all anime I have previously seen before and the anime holds true to the manga so what you see in the anime is exactly what you get in the manga. This is one anime that is definitley worth watching.
