Anja Carman claims Women’s 200m back-stroke title in Kranj: 2011 Slovenia Short Course Nationals
Day two of the 2011 Slovenia Short Course Nationals ended with several riveting performances of athletes in the arena of competitive swimming, in Kranj, Slovenia, on Friday, November 25.
Anja Carman went on to clinch the Women’s 200m back-stroke title by banging the finishing fence in a thrilling time of 2 minutes and 09.16 seconds. In the meantime, Nina Stegu pocketed silver medal in the respective race by striking the finishing blockade
in a blot of 2 minutes and 20.84 seconds. The bronze title went to Ula Kozinc in a mark of 2 minutes and 22.54 seconds, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Women’s 200m Individual Medley title was notched by Ursa Bezan in a striking mark of 2 minutes and 18.58 seconds. Mojca Sagmeister earned silver title in the respective splash by claiming the finishing divider in a time of 2 minutes and 20.67
seconds, while the third spot went to Ursa Ravnikar Surk in a mark of 2 minutes and 25.35 seconds.
In addition, Emil Tahirovic topped Men’s 50m breast-stroke race by posting a riveting time of 27.52 seconds. Matjaz Markic claimed silver title in the respective swim by touching the finishing barrier in a time of 27.87 seconds, whereas, the bronze title
went to Robert Vovk in a spot of 28.37 seconds.
Pia Hocevar Mucic took home the Women’s 50 breast-stroke title by hitting the finishing wall in a time of 33.80 seconds. Tina Meza got second position in a mark of 33.97 seconds, while Tajda Topic settled at third spot by claiming the finishing blockade
in a time of 34.00 seconds.

Anze Tavcar clinched the Men’s100m freestyle title by thumping the finishing barricade in a time of 50.35 seconds. Ziga Cerkovnik secured second position by claiming the finishing wall in a time of 50.75 seconds, whereas, Aleks Zlatnar finished third in a mark
of 51.88 seconds.
Finally, Nastja Govejsek took home the Women’s 100m freestyle title by banging the finishing blockade in a winning mark of 56.12 seconds, while Nina Sovinek settled at second place in a time of 56.30 seconds. The bronze medal went to Mojca Sagmeister in
a spot of 56.76 seconds.
