Started longboarding seriously saturday, had a long longboarding day yesterday, longboarded to work today and my ankle/lower foot area (on my left foot- my back/pushing foot) is killing me! Normal? Suggestions? Can I longboard to work tomorrow?

 1. heres one thing.....longboarding is g*y!, skateboard

 2. It's normal. Your foot is not used pushing, you will get used to it. Make sure you have good shoes to skate in. Shoes like old school Vans or Chucks have minimal padding in them. Get some well padded shoes, and maybe some better insoles to cushion the shock. Make sure the deck is as low as possible to keep you from extending too much, but high enough so you don't get wheel bite.

 3. this has happened to me many times but if it's just sore then it's normal and will go away after a nice long warm (or cold) shower and if it HURTS hurts then stay off it for a couple days, stretch it a lot - ankle rolls for example - and then longboard again and you will get used to it as the time goes by as long as you're still longboarding
