  1. Knee and ankle pain in combination, can be caused by

    1. Arthritis (joint inflammation)

    3. Erythema nodosum (allergic condition, usually combined with nodules and swelling)

    4. Fairbank disease (A rare inherited disorder that affects the secondary growth centers of bones and results in mild dwarfism)

    5. Gout (is one of the most painful rheumatic diseases. It results from deposits of needle-like crystals of uric acid in the connective tissue, joint spaces, or both. )

    6. Osteoarthritis (typically caused by age-related wear-and-tear)

    7. Osteochondritis Dissecans (results from a loss of the blood supply to an area of bone underneath a joint surface)

    8. Rheumatoid arthritis (is an inflammatory disease that causes pain, swelling, stiffness, and loss of function in the joints. It generally occurs in a symmetrical pattern)

    9. Singh-Williams-McAlister, syndrome (a rare syndrome characterized mainly by the resorption of certain bones)

    10. Yersiniosis (caused by a small rod-shaped, Gram-negative bacterium)

You can also have pain due to a previous injury. Your medical history and evaluation are needed for proper diagnosis.
