Question:

Ankle hurting and football starts tomorrow

The last week or so I have noticed my ankle is hurting a lot when i run on it, but walking is fine. The last two days ive been icing it down, but this morning i ran and it is hurting really bad. What should I do? I can't really see a doctor because football starts tomorrow and i'm working all day today, and I dont wanna sit out because I did last year from my knee

  1. Read and apply http://www.helium.com/tm/148271 and fix the problem.

    Since you have old injuries fixing "ALL" your damage is going to take a long time. So be prepared to play hurting or sit the season out.


  2. I have the same thing with my ankle, and I just put a brace on it, and leave it on for a couple of days and keep it on when you go to bed, and in a couple of days you will be good as new. I do also switch between hot and cold packs. That seems to help too.

  3. try putting wrapped up ice against it, use a wabble board, may have scar tissue injury from overworked muscles

  4. you might probally need surgery to that knee if it cotinuseilssly does that

Just don't walk on it, dont even try to run on it and ice it.  Grab some crutches and let your ankle rest.  All you can do it hope that when you try to run on your ankle tomorrow, it won't hurt but don t test you rankle until tomorrow.  Advil painkillers might to something too!  Hope your ankle gets better!
